Laxitol Syrup is a synthetic disaccharide. It is similar to a lactulose-like glucose molecule which contains galactose and sorbitol. It is used for the treatment of constipation and hepaticencephalopathy.

On using Laxitol Syrup you may experience side effects such as vomiting, nausea, dyspepsia, loss of potassium, muscle cramps, headache, flatulence and abdominal is tension. Seek the advice of your doctor if your reactions become severe and do not show any signs of getting better.
